Visa and MasterCard are the two widely recognized credit card payment processors. Both Visa and MasterCard do not issue credit cards and prepaid cards. These are two competing companies that offer similar services to banks. Banks issue credit cards and Visa and MasterCard provide a method of payment for card transactions. As for the cards branded Visa or Mastercard, there are some merchants and service companies that accept Visa cards only but not MasterCard and vice versa. But nowadays almost all places accept both Visa and MasterCard.
