There should have been a web address where you go and activate your card. Otherwise there must be a phone number or something. If it isn't clear how to activate the credit card, it can be a scam.

You should get a bank account which will add to your credit score and enable you to apply for a secured credit card. You can also apply for an unsecured credit card for bad credit (by Orchard bank or First Premier). On condition that you will pay off your balances accurately, your score will grow, after which you'll be able to apply for more credit cards.

The only way to do that is to call the bank or contact it somehow else and clear out all the details.
